Daniel Jimmerson, LPCC, CADC

Daniel began his career in behavioral healthcare as a fitness trainer and exercise consultant to clients in treatment programs. Since then, he became a CADC (Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor) and worked as a Case Manager before completing his graduate studies in psychology and becoming a Mental Health Therapist. Daniel has a passion for working in the mental health field and has worked with diverse populations across the world including with individuals who have suffered from trauma including genocide and marginalization.

 

Daniel’s preferred clinical theory of practice is CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and also with a trauma-informed approach. Daniel is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as well as IPSRT (Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy).

 

Daniel received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in addictions and recovery from Liberty University and a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands, graduating Summa Cum Laude for both degrees. Daniel also holds a certification as a CADC.
