STEP ONE:
Initial Assessment
Your first step is to give us a call at our admissions phone line. Our staff will answer any questions you have about our program and schedule a tour if you’re in the area. We would love a chance to tell you about our program and we want to know more about you and if you’ll find success here.
If you have insurance, this is also a chance to get a free pre-verification of your benefits. Whether you have alcohol addiction, substance abuse, a mental health disorder, trauma or a combination of these, we have a program that can work for you and assist in your healing.
We offer multiple levels of care and can outline those for you when you call into our phone line, to begin the process.
Step Two:
Intake & Full Assessment
After the initial assessment is complete and you decide Casa Recovery is the right treatment program for you, we will schedule your intake. On the day of admission, we will meet you at our offices in San Juan Capistrano, CA, or we can pick you up from the airport/train station/etc. This is all arranged through with our Admissions Team. Our closest airport is John Wayne Airport, Santa Ana, CA (SNA), but we can also pick you up from Long Beach Airport, Los Angeles Airport (LAX), and San Diego Airport (Los Angeles and San Diego Airports are about an hour and a half drive).
During the initial assessment, we will have questions regarding your health history, current health status, medication, and if appropriate most recent drug use. For substance use disorders, detox may or may not be needed depending on these answers, so please be honest for your own health and comfort.
Upon arrival our intake staff will meet with you and you will have forms to fill out regarding health history, medications, and confidentiality. Then our staff will complete a full assessment of your physical and mental health, as well as a drug urine screen and a basic physical exam. We will review medications you brought with you, if any, and may dispose of inappropriate ones. Please call us if you are unsure of the appropriate medications to bring.
Everything you tell us will be kept confidential. It is illegal for us to give anyone information about your stay with us without your written consent. At Casa Recovery you are only known by your first name and last initial (or whatever name you want to use). At this point, if not already taken care of, payment is due. You may have made arrangements to pay through insurance, you may have a co-pay due, or you may be paying us directly. We accept cash, credit card, check, cashier’s check and wire transfers. If you are paying with a debit credit card, please be aware that you may need to call your bank to increase the charge limit for us.
STEP THREE:
Begin Our Program
Depending on your assessment, you may need a period of stabilization or detox. Our doctor and nurse will then evaluate you for appropriateness for our program.
Once you complete the intake process, you will begin your program. Our program is not easy. You will be busy working with our expert licensed and certified staff every day to find the root causes of your mental health struggles or limiting behavior to find new ways to cope, prevent relapse and change aspects of your life that may trigger you. In between sessions and at breaks, we have a small lounge, courtyard and a patio where you can relax, socialize with peers or smoke. For those living in supportive housing, food is provided and breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared by you and your roommates. Every Saturday we have a planned, fun, activity clients can opt in to joining. On Sundays client’s can go to church or a meeting if desired. Sunday is a great day for family visitation.
Our counselors will keep any family or friends you designate updated on your status and progress in treatment. They should be in contact and give regular updates.
Our program is comprised of a schedule of in-person interactions between a client and their clinical team including a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapists, case managers, support staff and holistic practitioners. This includes a full weekly schedule, including:
